The holiday song is muddy-sounding and not nearly as fun - please don’t repeat the holiday song substitution later this year! Thanks for your attention. I just did a quick WDW visit about a week ago and was able to experience GotG with two of the six regular songs after having only ridden with the holiday song back in December. I’m writing to BEG you to NOT bring back the holiday song for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. I was there in 2022 and have a trip booked for December 2023 already. Hello! I’ve just started a tradition of visiting WDW every year in early December. Or maybe some of you reading this, if you agree with me, will take a minute to send feedback too. Maybe they’ve gotten some other negative feedback about the holiday song, and adding my two cents will help. I’m bummed at the prospect of the ride going back to that blah holiday mix on my next trip in December later this year. (I rode twice this time and got “September” and “Disco Inferno”-both were great.) If you were worried about all of those songs that didn’t make the cut for the on-ride soundtrack, don’t fret! According to Riddley, you’ll still get to hear some of them (several dozen actually) in the exit corridor as you’re leaving the attraction.On my trip last month I was struck by how superior a ride GotG is with the original music, compared to the holiday song that was my only previous experience. Riddley shares that the team was looking to find that “ perfect balance for the song choices with fun energy, a flow that matched the major movements of the ride, and (where we could) lyrics that gave a fun nod to the story of our attraction….a chase across space and time to save the galaxy from our recently-announced villain, Eson, a Celestial who is larger than a planet! ” Riddley even got to ride the attraction while they were testing the soundtracks and at one point got to ride it 30 times in just 2 days! WOW! ©D23 From what we understand, the soundtrack won’t be the same each time you ride it (in other words, you could get a different song out of the 6 picked each time you ride), so that’ll add to the overall experience!
According to Riddley, Imagineers rode the Guardians ride “hundreds” of times to test out the different songs before narrowing it down to the 6 that were picked. But now we’ve got exciting news about one aspect that is a signature feature of the Guardians of the Galaxy films: the MUSIC!ĭisney recently released the FULL LIST of songs that’ll be featured in the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction. We’ve already gotten a look at the villain that will be at the center of the story, a look at the queue, and even a peek at Cast Member costumes.
